Polaris Driver

Sale price$350.00 USD

You can also refer to them as "driving loafers" or just "drivers". They are essentially a mocassin-construction slipon with a snug but comfterble fit. The defining feature are the small rubber pebbles that cover the sole and extend to the back of the heel. They are very flexible and provide an added grip. Expertly engineered to keep you two feet comfterble as possible while navigating the road on four wheels, the driving mocassin was the footwear equivalent of the italian auto spirit, marrying luxury with practicality.

Polaris Driver blue and yellow leather loafers, luxury hand-painted patina shoes
    Polaris Driver Sale price$350.00 USD

Why this costs what it does

    11 days, not 11 hours

Every patina pair is hand-painted and oxidized over 11 days. Six to nine layers of dye, each one soaking in overnight before the next. Skip this and the color sits on the surface — and rubs off in a season.

    What's actually inside

Genuine cork filler, not foam — it molds to your foot over the first 50 wears. A stacked leather heel, not injection-molded plastic. Hand-welted construction that can be resoled four or five times instead of thrown out.

Built to last, not to sell once

Most factory shoes are cement-bonded and can't be repaired. Ours are built to be resoled and re-welted for years — the cost reflects a shoe you'll own once, not replace every season.
